Who We Are

Grim Systems ("we," "us") provides managed IT services to businesses in Mid Michigan. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@grimsys.io or 989.662.1787.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

Information you provide directly — when you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), the service you're interested in, and your message. This is sent to our form processor, Formspree, and to us, solely to respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically — if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects standard site-usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type, referring site) to help us understand traffic and improve the site. This does not run unless you accept it.

Cookies We Use

We keep cookie and local-storage use to the minimum needed for the site to function, plus one optional analytics tool. If you're visiting from the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner; if you click "Reject" or take no action, they are never loaded. Visitors elsewhere may see analytics load automatically, since prior opt-in isn't legally required outside those regions — but you can turn it off at any time using the button below, no matter where you're visiting from.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to run this site, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

Google Analytics (Google LLC) — site traffic analytics; see the cookie table above for when this loads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare — on your first visit, your browser makes a brief, cookie-free network request to Cloudflare to determine your general region, solely to decide whether to ask for analytics consent before loading it. Nothing from this request is stored by us. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Formspree — processes contact form submissions and delivers them to us. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
hCaptcha — spam and bot prevention on the contact form. See hCaptcha's Privacy Policy.
NinjaOne — powers our client support portal (a separate site, linked from "Support"); it has its own privacy practices.

How Long We Keep Information

Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain our own business records, then deleted or archived. Analytics data (if you've consented) is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration, and you can withdraw consent at any time going forward.

Your Rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect processing that already took place). To exercise any of these rights, email contact@grimsys.io. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We'll update the date at the top of this page if this policy changes. We encourage you to review it periodically.
